Commander-in-Chief Brian J. DuffyDuffy Sr Vice

Brian Duffy was elected commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on July 27, 2016, at the 117th VFW National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

Brian served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic on F-4 Phantom fighter aircraft, and later as a flight engineer aboard C-141 Starlifter transport aircraft.

Senior Vice Commander-in-Chief Keith E. HarmanHarman Jr Vice

Keith E. Harman was elected senior vice commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on July 27, 2016, at the 117th VFW National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

Keith served in the U. S. Army from 1967 to 1969. He served in Vietnam as a crew chief and door gunner on UH-1 Huey helicopters. His decorations include the Air Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze service stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citations, and the Aircraft Crewmember Badge.

Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief Vincent “B.J.” LawrenceJVCLawrenceHighRes_Web

Vincent “B.J.” Lawrence was elected junior vice commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on July 27, 2016, at the 117th VFW National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

B.J. served with the United States Army from 1983 to 1986, earning his VFW eligibility by serving in Korea, where he earned the Korean Defense Service Medal.

National Council of Administration

The VFW National Council of Administration is comprised of elected National Officers the Adjutant General, Chief of Staff and Inspector General. Collectively, the Council is responsible for administering the affairs and transacting the business of the VFW in the intervals between annual VFW National Conventions.
